COMPANY HISTORY
Paragon Building Corporation is a North Carolina registered corporation begun in October 1993 as a full service General Contracting firm specializing in industrial, commercial and institutional construction. Bob Morgan and Charles Moore started the corporation with 59 years combined management experience in the construction industry. Project sizes range from small, Time and Material work to single projects valued to $10 million, with 75% of our projects being repeat clients.
Paragon became a member of AGC in 1994. The company sales exceeded $10 million in 1999. After nine successful years of partnership, Charles Moore retired and Bob Morgan became sole owner and president of the company. He holds licenses in Building, Highway and Electrical. Renee Duncan joined the Paragon team in 2005 as chief estimator with over 20 years of construction experience.
Our diverse client list includes Scotts Hill Baptist Church, Brunswick County Schools, University of North Carolina ñ Wilmington, Country Club of Landfall, Brunswick Community College and New Hanover Health Network.

Bob Morgan
President / Estimator / Project Manager
Bob is President and Project Manager for Paragon Building Corporation. He has over thirty years of experience in all phases of construction, and holds unlimited licenses in the following classifications: Building, Highway and Electrical. Bob has served as a board member and president of the Wilmington Contractors Association. He has also served as chairman of the Cape Fear District of the Carolinas AGC for 9 years as well as served on the AGC/AIA Joint Committee for 5 years.
Renee Duncan
Estimator
Renee has over 20 years construction experience. Her experience ranges from mechanical and electrical to general contracting. She has managed and estimated projects throughout her entire career. The experience she has gained throughout her career has given her invaluable knowledge of the construction industry. Renee has obtained her General Contractors License and is currently our chief estimator for Paragon Building Corp.
Nancy Beckley
Staff Accountant
Nancy joined Paragon Building Corp. in 2007 and brought with her over 15 years of construction accounting coinciding with 7 years of office management. She handles all of the company’s accounts payable and receivable along with producing internal cash flow reports and other financial statements.
Grover Edwards
Superintendent
Grover has over 30 years of construction experience, including a degree in Construction Management from North Carolina State University. He has completed several clubhouse projects including a two-story golf clubhouse in Hickory, NC. As Project Superintendent on a wide range of complex projects, he possesses the communication and project management skills needed to provide the quality of work Paragon Building Corporation is respected for. He recently completed the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Station in Leland, NC and the Yaupon Beach Fire Station in Oak Island, NC.
Keith Morgan
Superintendent
Keith has over 10 years construction experience. He has experienced a wide range of projects including school renovations, historic building renovations and new park construction. He possesses the skills needed for complex structures and renovations. He recently completed two kitchen renovations for the NC Baptist Assembly in Oak Island, NC.
James Highsmith
Superintendent
James has over 10 years construction experience and is a certified machinist. Previous to working with Paragon, James operated his own carpentry company where he performed all levels of construction. He is very knowledgeable in construction and is conscientious in every aspect of the project he is assigned. He recently completed the additions to Veterans Park-Phase IV in Wilmington, NC.
Terry Lewis
Superintendent
Terry has over 20 years construction experience. Prior to working with Paragon Building, Terry worked for a major electrical/plumbing/HVAC company in Wilmington for 14 years where he served as general supervisor for all their field employees. He recently completed the Kenan Hall Renovation project at UNC-W for Paragon where he received recognition for his superior management of the project from the owner and architect. He also completed work at the Belville Elementary School Renovation project in Leland, NC and the Additions and Renovations at Topsail Middle School in Hampstead, NC.
